Zimbabwe Mission Partnership (ZMP)
We are one of 10 congregations in Denver Presbytery who support the Heather Chimhoga Orphan Care Center (HCOC) in rural Zimbabwe. The purpose of the Zimbabwe Mission Partnership (ZMP) is to provide daily meals, clean water, clothing, medical care, school fees, and other educational assistance as well as focus on the spiritual well-being of over 800 orphans primarily in the Nyamashato, Murewa area of Zimbabwe. Team Zimbabwe is the main fundraising arm of the ZMP. Several years ago, we were given the unique opportunity to partner with the Subaru Elephant Rock Cycling Festival held the first Sunday in June at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Castle Rock. Riders sign up to ride for Team Zimbabwe and raise funds to benefit the orphans.

Ugly Quilts
Many of us have seen the “Ugly Quilts” or sleeping bags assembled here at our church. Participation in the group does not require fine quilting skills, just the ability to tie knots and enjoy some fellowship. The group always welcomes donations of material, ties, jackets, hats, socks, gloves, batting, or personal hygiene items that can be included with the quilts. New members are welcome. Please contact Linda Eisenach.

Local Food Bank
We support our local food bank, supplying low-income families with emergency food. Shelves are located in the narthex by the office and donations are welcome at any time. Periodically, we have themed food bank drives for specific needs. Hunger never takes a holiday. Thanks for your support!

One Great Hour of Sharing
One Great Hour of Sharing is a denominational offering that helps those affected by natural disaster or tragedies. Collections are held each year during Lent with the final offering on Palm Sunday.

Christmas Giving
Opportunities are offered at Christmas time to support the missions of our church. A Giving Tree decorated with gift requests is one way our congregation shows kindness to those who would otherwise go without. The premise of Alternative Gift Giving is instead of giving one more unneeded or unwanted present to someone, give a gift in their name to a mission our church supports. We help the Boys and Girls Club of Brighton by giving them Christmas cards and stamps, which the children use to express their thanks to their sponsors.

Heifer International / Penny Jar
Heifer International is a nonprofit working to eradicate poverty and hunger around the world. Animals are purchased and families receive training for raising their animal to help them become self-reliant. For your convenience, the Penny Jar, where we deposit our money, is located on the display case in the narthex. You are invited to drop your loose coins, currency, and even checks in the Penny Jar on any Sunday. Checks can be made out to the church with Heifer Project in the memo section. During Vacation Bible School, children collect money to support Heifer International. The congregation supports their efforts by matching or going over the amount the children raise.
